Survey: what did you want to be when you were a kid(career)?

Did you really end up becoming what you wanted to be as a child, if not what do you do and how far off is it from what you thought you'd be?

Survey: what did you want to be when you were a kid(career)?
I wanted to be a video game programmer. Currently I am enrolled in my local college, and am majoring in Software

Developement. Not to far off I would say.
Reply:No where near what I thought I wanted to be....to to about 9 I wanted to grow up to be a San Diego State Univ. football team cheerleader. I have no idea why. After 10...I wanted to be a rodeo champion barrell racer. I did really well locally but never got anything national. Now I am a project manager for a construction company. Go figure.
Reply:I was never sure what I wanted to do when I had to start working. I was in the Navy for a while, but that wasn't quite it, so I went into Respiratory Therapy for 15 years. That job was really taxing. Now I have MS and the neuro won't let me work at all, so I don't know what to do with myself.
Reply:Hmm, well I have this book from when I was in Kindergarten, and I said I wanted to be a doctor, so I could "fly in helicopters and save people, like my mom" (I'm assuming I meant in refernce to her being legaly deaf)

I would have persued being a massage therapist if I hadn't had been so discouraged from it by so many. :-)

And senior year, I was certain I was going to be a chef, but I didn't want to get fat eating all the good foods I make ;o)
Reply:i always wanted to be the "stay puff" marshmallow man........ and now I look just like him except I work at Wilkinsons in the gardening section
Reply:Wanted to be a doctor. Ended up going into business instead. It was much more lucrative.
Reply:Well sorry but i am still a kid but i really want to be a famous actress or buisness person...i hope it will come true!
