Sociological Survey please fill out!?

I am doing a study on how mother's working habits and occupation affect their child's development. I will do this through research of success in terms of school and career.

All questions on this survey are optional, so if you do not feel comfortable answering them, it is ok to leave it blank. You can also email me your answers at beachdelmar2006@yahoo.com if you prefer. Thanks!

I hated it when my mother went back to work. she had always been home for me when I got home from school. But, you adapt and deal with it.

Did your mother's occupation affect your life in any way? Explain.

My mother was a stay-at-home mom for most of the years of my life. I am very grateful that I was lucky enough to have a mother who was willing to give up money and materials so she could raise her children. I have decided that I want to give the same to my child. Every child deserves to have his/her mommy at home with them. My mom ended up getting a part-time job when I was in HS. Though it was only about 4 hours a day, it was at a bad time, 4-8 or so in the evening. It didn't affect me as much because I was old enough that I wasn't home as often, or I just did my own thing, but I saw the effect it had on my youngest sister, who was still in elementary. She always missed mom and wished she was home. She always asked her to take the day off, etc. I felt sorry for her, because she didn't get to grow up with her mom home like I did. She didn't get to spend as much time with her as me.

Did your mother's occupation affect your life in any way? Explain. i think that education is very important. i am very interested in sociology and psychology. she worked all the time, so i spent a lot of time in daycare, which was a negative thing in my life. my mother makes a lot of money, which has allowed me to go to college without working and live an easier life than if she did not make a lot of money.
