I do remember and know who Shirley Temple is. What I don't know, is what happened to her after her acting career?
Oh, and a good way that I remember who Shirley Temple is that there is a drink named after her! It is 7-up with cherry juice and cherries. Shirley Temple usually wore red.
Reply:yes, and no.
Reply:I remember her; she married John Agar then divorced him then married someone named ? Black was then called Shirley Temple Black and became something in the political area like a senator or something. I don*t know if she is still alive or not I*m sure you can find out more about her by typing her name in Google search engine.
Reply:She was a child star that grew up to be a senator.
2. No idea.
Reply:Oh my God, am I that old . . . she was probably the first famous child actor who could also sing, tab dance and various other dance types, she must have been about 3 when she started, she was smarter than hell, and cute as too, with chubby cheeks, big dimples and curly hair always in ringlets, I loved watching her and envied her as a child, she must have played every type of character there was, poor child, rich child, living with a grandfather in the Alps herding sheep, as a step sister of a spoiled girl in a wheel chair who is very mean and bitter. The niece of any army man in the middle of WWII ( I think that's what it was). All types of characters. I don't recall any acting outside her childhood. I know she got married to someone name Black and then she was Shirley Temple Black, I think there was frequently articles about her in the paper or somewhere, I remember somethings, but don't know how I heard about them. Shieley Temple, I havn't thought of her for years, thanks for my memory.
Reply:Yes, I remember Shirley Temple...she was a child star who sang and danced in the movies...She went into politics and is a Congresswoman now...Hope this helps...
Reply:Yes I know who Shirley Temple is from her iconic curly-haired singing days. I don't know anything past her young years from acting though.
Reply:Yup she was a child star in the 1930's. Remember her name as Shirley Temple black.
She tried out for politics in the 1960's for the republicans and became and ambassador. First time she didn't make it. And then I think she became an ambassador for Czechoslovakia.
She's alive but I don't remember seeing her in anything recently.
Reply:Shirley Temple was a child actress. I actually have some of her movies on dvd for my daughter to watch. I have no idea what happened to her though. Good luck with your speech.
Reply:In 1940, Temple left Fox. She juggled classes at Westlake School for Girls with films for various other studios, including MGM and Paramount. Her most successful pictures of the time included Since You Went Away with Claudette Colbert, The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer with Cary Grant, and Fort Apache with John Wayne. She retired from motion pictures in 1949, reportedly because the public could not accept her appearing in adult roles. It's more likely she was motivated to retire because she wanted to devote herself to raising a family and was unhappy with changes in the film industry. In the 1950s and 1960s, she made a brief return to show business with two television series. Shirley Temple's Storybook premiered on NBC on January 12, 1958 and last aired December 1, 1959. Shirley Temple Theatre -- also known as The Shirley Temple Show -- premiered on NBC on September 11, 1960 and last aired September 10, 1961. Both shows featured adaptations of fairy tales and other family oriented stories. Shirley Temple was the hostess and occasional narrator/actress in both series.
In later years, she made occasional appearances on television talk shows, especially when she promoted her memoirs
